The KCP Pricing & Process
So you've stumbled upon the KCP website, or maybe Facebook or Instagram, maybe a friend told you about me and now you are wondering, what exactly can I expect from KCP? What are the options available here and what do they fully entail? Congrats, you have found the blog post for you!
The main sessions I capture are newborn, maternity, family & senior. There are also options for milestone session packages during your baby's first year of life. (if you're interested in those, reach out to me since I won't be covering them in this post) Within each session type, you have 2 session options: Full & Petite. While what is offered for each subject varies a bit, the full session gives you a larger session with more looks and the petite is a smaller session typically offering one look. Full sessions are great for the people wanting to capture the most in this moment. Petite sessions are great for people who don't want to miss this moment but don't want the shabang.
The Process
So, you are interested in one of these many session options, here is the general breakdown you can expect to happen. This is the same process, whether you book a petite or full session.
Fill out the inquiry form and let's get this conversation going. Once the form is submitted, you will receive an email that has similar info to this blog post, but more specialized and in depth for your selected type of session. This is also the time to ask any questions you may have.
Once you have decided how you would like to move, I will send over a contract and invoice for the session fee (also nonrefundable deposit). When that is signed and paid, you are considered officially booked! Then, the fun part begins. We will start planning your session. I'm here for as much or little help as you would like, whether it's locations, outfits/setups, or anything else on your mind. I'm here for every step.
Session day! It's time for the fun part and I promise it can be fun. Typically, the session will be filled with a mix of posed and candid shots. Please don't stress about this day. I promise we'll take great shots, even when it seems like we won't with grumpy attitudes.
Now comes for the exciting part. I'll take 2 to 3 weeks to edit your photos. Then comes the part you have been waiting for. Once the photos are ready, I’ll send you a slideshow to preview all of your photos. DO NOT click the link until you are ready to see them. The slideshow will only be active for 24 hours after you click the link. I suggest making it a fun moment. Cast to the tv, cuddle around to watch it and enjoy your new photos. After the slideshow, you will then pick your collection.
After seeing the photos in the slideshow, you will select which collection you would like. Once a collection is purchased, you will have full access to the gallery to pick out your digital and print products. Find your favorites and use that print credit on some gorgeous prints made to last. You will have 30 days to make your selections from when a collection is purchased.
The Pricing
Pricing is broken down into 2 parts: the session fee and the collection price. So total investment = session fee + collection price. Payment plans are always available to fit your needs.
So what exactly is the session fee? The session fee covers session prep, the session and editing time. It is also considered a nonrefundable deposit to secure your booking. The session fees are $175 for a full session and $100 for a petite session. The session fee is required before your shoot.
Petite and Full sessions each have 3 types of collections available to select. Each collection comes with a certain number of digital files and print credit, except for the lowest petite collection. Print credit can be used on any product in the KCP store, including the purchase of additional digital files.
Full sessions have collection options of Spark, Flame and Amber.
Spark comes with 15 hi res digital files of your choosing and $75 dollars to the KCP store. Spark collection is $400
Flame comes with 30 digital images of your choosing and $225 print credit. Flame collection is $550.
Ember comes with all the digital images in the album, at least 60 images) and $400 print credit. Ember is $725
Petite sessions have collection options of Wick, Flicker, Ignite.
Wick comes with 5 digital images of your choosing and no print credit. Wick collection is $175.
Flicker comes with 10 digital images of your choosing and $50 print credit to the KCP store. Flicker collection is $250.
Ignite comes with all the digital images in the album, at least 20, and $100 print credit to the store. Ignite collection is $350
